'Drawing in Op-Shops' is the Second Solo exhibition by Jonathan 'Vision' Waters (TiC Crew, Dunedin). His First Solo show was aptly named "Highs and Lows - Everything Else is Just a Party" and was held at Bats Theatre in Wellington, NZ.

'Drawing in Op-Shops' is a showcase of recent drawings he has completed over the course of recent months. All of the objects he has used have been sourced from local Opportunity Shops.

Drawing on found objects is a new area of exploration for him and his practice. The idea that has helped generate this work is the creation of seemingly 'random' mostly organic shapes. From there the challenge is to bring them to life by turning them in to various images. Upon close examination you may find a range of ideas, opinions, supposed 'Kiwiana', monsters and faces.

Feel free to come along and feel free to bring friends and whānau to the Exhibition Opening which is from 7pm on Friday the 25th of September at Kiki Beware, 344 George St, Dunedin.

All works will be for sale and Mel at Kiki Beware will be selling high quality beverages to tingle your taste-buds.

There may be a tab or cheaper drinks that will be organised.

Hope to see you there!
