Little Dog Barking is proud to announce that the award winning performance of Duck Death and the Tulip is coming to Lower Hutt's Little Theatre on 6th October. The team are back from their sold out audiences at the Christchurch Arts Festival during September.

Directed by Nina Nawalowalo
Music by Gareth Farr

A duck strikes up an unlikely friendship with Death. Simple, unusual, warm and witty. The superb use of mime, magic and puppets, allows the play to deal with a difficult subject in a way that is elegant , straightforward and thought-provoking.

Based on the internationally celebrated book by Wolf Erlbruch; Duck, Death and the Tulip will intrigue and enchant the smallest child to the oldest grownup.

Highly recommended from 2 to 100 years old.

“Duck, Death and the Tulip is now my favourite book of all time.” Kim Hill, Radio New Zealand National
“the audience… was utterly enchanted” - Theatreview
“take children by all means but if you don’t have one to hand... take your inner child"
“delicately takes us into territory that few, if any, books and plays for children ever dare go.” - Dominion post

Winner: Outstanding Theatre Award - Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2014
