Come and join Bjorn Binzegger, from AgePlus Charitable Trust, and Katharina Schroyens, a registered Zumba® teacher, talk about exercise, and keeping fit and well, for active older adults.

Bjorn will focus his talk on health and safety in general and on gadgets and equipment available to help keep people fit and well. His talk will touch upon such topics as exercises and activities to do in daily life, how to reduce the risk of heart attacks, and how to deal with conditions such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. Bjorn will also talk about the specialist information and services AgePlus provides.

Katharina’s talk will focus on the importance of healthy food and exercise for everyone. Her talk will seek to answer the question ‘Why is exercise important?’, and also how exercise is accessible and beneficial at anybody at any age and, where needed, can be a base of recovery. Katharina talk will include links to several sorts of exercise programmes, and will include a few, easy, low impact, Zumba Gold® based, seated, exercises.

Bjorn Binzegger is an Executive Officer of the AgePlus Charitable Trust, a non-profit resource centre based in Browns Bay. Katharina Schroyens is a teacher, and registered Zumba® instructor, who teaches Zumba® Gold, a programme specifically designed for active older adults, as well as other Zumba® classes.

Join us for morning tea and biscuits from 10.30am, with the talk beginning at 10.45am
