Join Project Director Anna Rubbo and Barnaby Bennett to dig into the exhibition and to hear first-hand experience of Global Studio.

Anna Rubbo is the Project Director of People Building Better Cities. She joined the Centre for Sustainable Urban Development (CSUD) in the Earth Institute at Colombia University in 2012. She is the founder of Global Studio, a people-centered action research project that helps urban professionals work effectively with the urban poor.

Barnaby Bennett is a co-founder of Freerange Press. He is currently completing a PhD that examines public and temporary architecture in post-quake Christchurch. Barnaby is a founding Board member for FESTA and now Te Pūtahi. In 2006 he participated in Global Studio in Vancouver 2009 and helped project manage Global Studio in Johannesburg 2009. This event is part of the public programme that runs in conjunction with People Building Better Cities exhibition. Running from 28 July to 29 August at the Te Pūtahi Pop-Up Space in the Unimed Building at 163 Gloucester Street, the Christchurch edition of People Building Better Cities promotes participation and inclusive urbanization through its public programme, which includes discussions, lectures, interaction, professional development training and school workshops.
