Rediscover the wild outdoors as a pantry resource for New Zealand cuisine. Hawke’s Bay Chefs and all round talented Young Guns James Beck (Bistronomy) and Michael Hannah (The Loading Ramp) are going native with Chef Giulio Sturla from the much acclaimed Roots restaurant in Lyttelton. Join them for a good old fashioned forage on day one before hitting hot new restaurant Bistronomy on day two for a unique eight course collaboration dinner presented by all three talented chefs under the ConversatioNZ "Cook Up" Series mantle.

Aiming to place New Zealand food firmly on the world map ConversatioNZ is a movement initiated by New Zealand chefs and other foodie folk, to inspire and empower national culinary circles to take pride and respect our natural edible resources and the people behind the food. Come dine with us and join the conversation. Collaboration is integral part of ConversatioNZ and the unique Cook Up events take place all over New Zealand.

Part 1: The Forage Sunday 8th November ($20 per person - Bookable separately)
Join the chefs and foraging expert and wildlife photographer Peter Langlands for an afternoon forage in the abundant outdoors of Hawke’s Bay.

Part 2: Cook Up, Foraged NZ Cuisine $130 per person, additional $80 payable on the night for an optional wine match
James, Michael and Giulio will create and present a unique eight course degustation dinner based on the foraged findings and other ingredients telling the story of NZ food, the season and the people behind food.
Join us simply for dinner on the Monday night. If you just fancy a bit of a forage come along just for that… Or if you’re really keen join us for both!
