Island time for the girls at Houhora.

It will be a laid back affair when the girls fish the Houhora Big Game & Sports Fishing Club (Inc) annual Ladies Fishing Contest on Waitangi Weekend 6th & 7th February 2015.

Anglers can fish from land and sea on both coasts. The contest covers game and sports fish with prizes for Billfish, Gamefish, T & R Billfish, Kingfish, Snapper, Trevally, Best Catch by a Junior’, Average Weight and $500 cash for Heaviest Kahawai .

Prizegiving has a Hawaiian theme with ‘Best Team Hula’ winning $100 bar tab. Sarongs, grass skirts, jandals & leis is the dress code. Prizegiving is 7.30pm Saturday night. Weighin is from 5-6pm Friday & 4-5pm Saturday.

Tickets $50 Non-members, $40 club members available from Hunting & Fishing Kaitaia, Laurenson Marine & the Houhora Wharf Store
