French is one of the most international of European languages, spoken in all the continents of the world. Many French speakers are not enthusiastic about speaking English so if you plan to travel to one of the 27 countries where French is an official language, do not be surprised if you struggle to find an English speaker! There are also opportunities for young New Zealanders to go work overseas in French-speaking countries, such as France, Belgium or Canada while on a Working Holiday Scheme

Time: 6.00pm - 7.30pm
Levels: Beginner / Elementary
Course Fee: ($200 for 10 weeks) plus textbook ($60) and registration ($10)

- Learning a language can be of great benefit whether you’re travelling, doing business, or just trying to expand your knowledge of the world. Waikato Institute of Education (WIE) currently has classes in French, Spanish, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, German, and English. We can also arrange private tuition for languages not listed.-
