Gaelic Football and Hurling is back in the Wellington again with the Australasian Games being held in Lower Hutt.

Wellington and Hutt Valley Gaelic Football and Hurling will be hosting and competing in the annual

Australasian games for four days at the end of the month. Both men’s and ladies Football titles and

both men’s Hurling and ladies Camogie titles will be competed for by teams from New South Wales,

Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Canterbury and Wellington. From

Wednesday the 30th of September to Saturday the 3rd of October 40 games will be played at Te Whiti

Park in Lower Hutt between 9am and 4pm every day, with the deciding finals of these games being

played out on the Saturday.

Everyone is welcome to come along; there will be food and beverages on offer and plenty of games

to watch.

On Saturday the 3rd there will be raffles and giveaways, face-painting and bouncy castle’s A petting Zoo

and some demonstration games for kids to take part in, so come along and watch some Gaelic

sports.
