Give Well - Live Well!

Research shows a link between giving to others and improved happiness and wellbeing. Wellington City Council is encouraging you to share the love and pay-it-forward by purchasing a $3 active opportunity for one of these two local community groups who support Wellbeing in Wellington.

Visit Karori Recreation Centre between 5 October to 31 October, to donate a $3 casual play pass.

Bellyful Karori - Bellyful is a national not for profit providing meals for families with newborn babies and families struggling with illness when they have little or no social or family support. We are run entirely by volunteers, delivering home cooked frozen meals and our service is free. 

Karori Youth Centre - The Karori Community Centre is one of a network of 20 Community Centre’s situated throughout Wellington.   The  purpose  statement  of the Karori Community Centre is "to assist in meeting  the needs of individuals and Community Groups in Karori, for social interaction, education, information and support, by providing staff, direction and facilities at low cost.  The Youth Sector of the Community Centre has recently reopened post a youth needs analysis undertaken by the Wellington City Council, the youth drop in offers young people a space to create friendship, acceptance and belonging. Young people have the opportunity to be the change makers in their own lives in the many activities and projects the KCC offers.

This Wellington Wellbeing event supports Mental Health Awareness Week. This year's theme is “Give – your time, your words, your presence”, which is one of the Five Ways to Wellbeing.
