Give Well - Live Well!

Research shows a link between giving to others and improved happiness and wellbeing. Wellington City Council is encouraging you to share the love and pay-it-forward by purchasing a $3.50 skate hire pass for one of these two local community groups who support Wellbeing in Wellington.

Visit Kilbirnie Recreation Centre, between 5 October to 31 October, to donate a $3.50 skate hire pass.

Big Buddy - Big Buddy is based on the simple philosophy that boys need good male role models in their lives to become good men. For many reasons, lots of boys don’t have fathers and since 1997, we’ve matched over 600 well-screened, volunteer mentors with fatherless boys aged 7-14. The results are outstanding.

Change Makers Refugee Forum - Change Makers Refugee Forum is a rights-based, non-government organisation (NGO) representing more than 14 refugee-background communities in Wellington. We work to achieve our vision of New Zealanders from refugee backgrounds participating fully in New Zealand life through community development, research, and advocacy.

This Wellington Wellbeing event supports Mental Health Awareness Week. This year's theme is “Give – your time, your words, your presence”, which is one of the Five Ways to Wellbeing.
