Where: The Tin Hut, 2/4 Moroa Rd, Tauherenikau, Featherston, Wairarapa

Restrictions: All Ages

Listed by: Rob Maunsell

This will be an extraordinary Singer songwriter night in the magical setting of the delightful Tin Hut country pub lounge bar. Starting at 7.00pm, delicious meals to be enjoyed beforehand or during the performances, well run bar and table drinks service . The performers for the night will play a range of styles of music from folk to blues to alt country even a bit Irish and almost all songs played will be originals.

Carol Bean has just released her 4th album "Next bus out", and she is excited to bring many of the songs from it and play them with her great friend Ray Mercer. They will also present some of her older songs to the Tin Hut audience.

Grafia will deliver several of Rob and Keith's newly minted and recorded songs which convey deep sentiments and explore mysteries about important events and relationships in their lives. Being ably assisted by Stephan on violin and recorder, Lorenzo on bass, John Jukes on drums/ percussion and Stefan Brown on lead guitar.

Piers and Jayden are excited to be playing their own songs in the wonderful Wairarapa, home to Piers' grandparents Ted and Helen. They are embarking on careers in music and song writing after just one year at Victoria University . They have heard the call to the performers' stage and the road and we are fortunate to have them play with us this early on their musical journeys.

Saali Marks is the other new comer to playing along side us, but he is no stranger to the Tin Hut and South Wairarapa audiences. He has offered so much to the musical/ cultural life of the Wairarapa both as a teacher and as a performer. He began crafting songs on his guitar way back in the day, and has evolved a unique voice, part dark pop, part light folk, part roots and lotsa soul, Buckley-esque melodies and evocative lyrics. Saali's accomplished guitar playing and a total commitment to delivery make his performances engaging and captivating. He will be playing songs from his extensive repertoire of originals.

This show will entrance you and your friends so please make the effort to include it your busy summer programme of concert going and other artistic recreational activities. Check out our website for more information and insight into what inspires us.
