adapted by Tim Bray
songs by Christine White

A celebration of grandparents with two favourite New Zealand stories coming to life on stage in the one show.
The charming story of Grandpa’s Slippers. Grandma thinks Grandpa’s old and tatty slippers should be thrown out. But Grandpa has other ideas.
Staged with Grandma McGarvey who is the quirky and fun-filled grandmother who leads an adventurous and wacky life. Is your grandmother like Grandma McGarvey? Come and find out…
“Adapted by producer/director Tim Bray, two idiosyncratic children's literary icons come to life in a series of alternating stories, in which Grandma McGarvey, from the books by Jenny Hessel, embarks on her wacky adventures, including springboard diving, treasure hunting and bungee jumping, while Joy Watson's Grandpa obsesses not only about his slippers but also his cardie and a long lost pair of shorts.” Review – Sian Robertson, Theatreview
