We put our heads together and thought, what is missing from Auckland club culture these days? The answer was pretty simple.

After the closure of Code and Coherent there really was no home left for the electro and dirty house scene that once flourished and was a major part of the evolution of dance music.

Before the cheesy pop stars of the late 2000's started rinsing electro-house beats, synths and generic, easily marketable lyrics, there was a culture that stems much further back that developed into a cult throughout Auckland.

For many it was Code nightclub. Raving from 11-7 was pretty normal for many of the people who made it a lifestyle choice. Friends were made, calories were burnt, but most importantly, new music was exposed and blended non-stop for hour after hour.

Nowadays with the shift in club culture and the closure of dozens of Aucklands finest clubs, there really is nowhere to go for people from our era if we want to experience those sounds and not be forced to have to listen to some mainstream horse shit dance music force-fed to us by some unbeknownst club owners music policy.

Forget the ridiculous portrayal of deep house that some clubs think is what they offer, forget the swagger trap dub step bombs for a minute if you may, leave the mainstream electro-pop downtown because we invite you to join us for a 100% no-nonsense showcase of DJs spinning and blending heavy beats like the 'old' days with their heart and soul and the only policy is whatever the DJs approve.

Join Greg Churchill, arguably New Zealand's best house and techno DJ ever, as he showcases a set of whatever the hell he wants, some old some new some heavy some lite. Greg has been a favourite of Kiwis for years and continues to bust out golden sets week after week.
