One Family. One Last Chance. One Quirky Japanese Game Show

Happy Family Plan is based on a popular Japanese TV game show of the same name in which fathers take on challenges such as memorising breeds of dogs or playing a musical instrument to win prizes for their families.
Fujio Kawajiri, who has lost his job in the 1990s economic downturn in Japan, decides to relocate with his wife and two kids to his father-in-law’s home in Yokohama. His son secretly enters the family as contestants on the Happy Family Plan game show.

Fujio, having lost a large amount of money in a failed business venture agrees to take up the challenge. He must learn how to play “Home Sweet Home” on the Piano and play it live on TV. The thing is, he has never played the Piano before in his life……
