To celebrate 40 years of the arts, Havelock North High School is holding a unique arts festival this September.

For the first time in its history, the school will hold a series of performances where former students who have gone on to become nationally and internationally recognised artists will showcase their talent.

All proceeds raised will go towards the development of a modern performing arts centre at Havelock North High School – to support the next generation of artists, and become a cultural hub for the community.

Join us for a DROP OF DRAMA".....a fast-paced, entertaining menu of theatricality, with top actors such as; Chris Brougham (lead actor in current Circa production; "The Ugly One" and winner of numerous Awards); Lisa-Jane Easter and Daniel Betty, two of HB's finest and vastly experienced performers; Amie Bentall, ex-HabYT lead-actress and currently studying Drama and Directing at Auckland University.; Andrew Clarke. ex-HaBYT and making a name for himself at the Wellington "Young and Hungry" Festival.

This isn’t just a Festival, but a special chance to catch up with old friends, and for that reason we are holding a cocktail function before the drama show.

The cocktail party will run from 6pm-7.30pm, and you will get a welcome drink, canapes and entertainment. Cost $10. What better way to kick off a fabulous evening!

We only have limited tickets available, so please don’t delay.

The Havelock North High Arts Festival will run from September 3rd to 25th and also include three major concerts, an art exhibition as well as musician and drama workshops for current students. Watch out for more details on our website www.hnhsartsfestival.school.nz.
