Dunedin will be celebrating its Scottish heritage and vibrant Scottish community during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 as the city acts as host to the Scottish Cricket team.

The Scotland cricket team will be officially welcomed to Dunedin on 15th February with a Céad míle fáilte (a warm welcome). The event will be held under the watchful gaze of the stony Bard himself, the Robbie Burns statue and at the Town Hall. Robbie will be appropriately dressed for the occasion with Otago plaid and the Cross of St Andrew will proudly be flown from the Municipal Chambers flag pole.

There will be a variety of community groups to showcase the city and its rich Scottish community, whilst making the visitors feel at home.

Facepainting, food stalls and entertainment will be in the upper Octagon from 3pm, Sunday 15 February followed by an opportunity to meet members of the Scottish Cricket team.
