Join comedians Patch Lambert and Brent McGuinness for an evening of stand-up comedy as they explore the ocean of things in life that have 'seemed like a good idea'. They're quite certain that nobody has ever, ever used that phrase for something that turned out to be a good, rewarding endeavor - and the best part about it is that they're willing to share their own experiences with you to prove it.

Like, for instance, the time Brent once drunk-dialed his dentist... Seemed like a good idea, but he's now having to hit up the black market for fillings. Or the time Patch jumped off a wharf despite not being able to swim, and also happened to be wearing a shirt that said "LIFEGUARD" on it - As he struggled against the current, the people along wharf just took one look at the shirt and assumed he'd sort himself out. Seemed like a good idea.

Brent is a veteran of the Wellington comedy scene and has performed in sellout shows in the New Zealand International Comedy festival. His absurd tales are brought to life with physical delivery, punchy hilarity and his instantly lovable character. He has a vocabulary that rivals his 6th form English Teacher, and he'll paint a picture so vivid you'd think he was actually painting.

...But he's not.

"Brent has that animal magnetism that just sucks you and won't let go"

Patch is a two-time NZ Comedy Guild Award nominee (someone else got them) and has performed across the country. He's a lovable bogan, a struggling underdog and a shambling mess. Drawing inspiration for his tales of humor from the depths of life's most unsavory experiences and from his most vulnerable moments, he's honest, more than a little lost, and hilarious.
