South Island Concert Tour 2015
Presented by Tomas Hurnik

Come for an hour of beautiful intimate music from the 17th century for two violins, cello and a special baroque instrument: the harpsichord.

You will have a rare opportunity to listen to two internationally renowned musicians and specialists in baroque interpretation; Hungarian Baroque violinist Szabolcs Illes and Czech harpsichord player Edita Keglerova which will be joined by Baroque cellist Tomas Hurnik and Baroque violinist Philippa Lodge.

You will be surprised at how much beauty is hidden in music over 400 years old from famous Baroque composers Handel, Purcell,Corelli, Gemininani and also from not so famous composers Marini, Uccellini, Matteis,Castrucci.

This is a rare chance to hear subtle beauty of period instruments in a vibrant atmosphere of churches which is the most suitable acoustic place for these instruments.
