So ok years later and taipei an empty studio due mostly to the fact that i had just throw in the attempts of the last six weeks to the rubbish a dead line my past appearing much larger than my future at that time and a dead line a sewing machine and the taipei fabric market it seemed an obvious solution to join my own historic dots

To inform my work i rely on the geographic internal landscapes of my studio and experiences that might not have happened but events that have meshed themselves so firmly with things that have that surgical separation of these components has proved impossible and now they have established themselves as new truths, at about 10.30 pm i consider that tobacco pack quote of t.S. Elliot's ''you have the experience but did you understand the meaning'' i consider this as having an ''archaeological dig significance'' whilst i busy myself unpicking and re sewing sewing deeper into the process into the desire to articulate a harmony both in the work and somewhere inside myself believing that this compulsive revisiting re attachment and detachment with the materials and the new truths is imbibing the work with meaning and a significance beyond myself and further into the experience..
