Kicking off the summer holidays, as part of the Global Kā Life program is KICK (Kick in the Park) with the Sandhu Brothers a great way for young people to make new friends, learn some valuable self-defence skills (useful against bullies) and ultimately have some fun! Focusing on easy safe self-defense and positive vibes for all young people aged 11-17 years at Mt Roskill Youth Zone, Auckland. Kick in the Park is on for one week before The Sandhu Brothers head to Orlando, Florida to hit the US Open.

The Sandhu Brothers; Rupinder (20) and Jaspinder (16) are NZ Taekwondo representatives, just recently returned from overseas where Jaspinder collected a Gold medal at the Australian Open and both he and Rupinder picked up bronzes at the Oceania championships.

The Sandhu brothers are the first athletes to be supported as part of the MHF Emerging leaders program (MHF supports creative industry success amongst young people) as they are not only NZ representative athletes they are also spoken word poets. Both will appear on the upcoming All-stars CD the Aroha Project in February, a project to raise money for anti-bullying and suicide prevention programs amongst young people.

Kick in the Park is part of The Aroha Project is the space where artists smash ‘hate’ in our program of anti-Bullying and suicide prevention.
