Last Comic Standing Comedy Night

Series Two Final

Tuesday 10 Feb

Wellington has long been a breeding ground for comedians and comic acts, many who have gone on to become household names in New Zealand, with some like Flight of The Concords, attaining international acclaim.

With such a rich and diverse comedic heritage we want to make sure that Wellington continues to be the artistic cauldron for which new talent can be discovered.

There are a few established comedy gigs but Wellington lacks an event with a competition format to escalate potential comic geniuses. With over 10 years in the entertainment industry, the iconic Boogie Wonderland is reaching out to comedian hopefuls, with a regular competition to find the new funny kids on the block.

Series Two of the Last Comic Standing comedy competition is reaching it's apex with the final taking place on Tues 10 Feb.

Each round 8 contestants performed a 6 minute routine and the winner was voted by you the audience.

Come and watch the comedy cream rise to the top and support Wellington’s comedy scene. And just maybe you’ll help unearth the next

Taika Waititi!

All 4 competition rounds (13Jan, 20Jan, 27Jan, & 3Feb) were FREE with a modest $10 cover-charge for the Series Final on 10 Feb.

Your finalists are:

13 Jan round: Nathan Hedley & Tom Rix
20 Jan round: Ollie Crafter & Dan Shenton
27 Jan round: Pete Hodkinson & Patch Lambert
3 Feb round: Carrick Blacker & Lucy Roche

Your MC for the final will be ‎Jerome Chandrahasen

See you then :)

We Want You for Series 3!

Each contestant receives a $50 food & beverage voucher with each round Runner-Up receiving $100 cash monies, and the winner of the night taking away $200 of legal tender. These two then become finalists to win a $400 cash prize on 10 February 2015. The Series Two winner will join Series One winner Jundas Capone, plus six others, who will battle it out for the official Last Comic Standing Grand Final Prize of $1000!
