You are invited to a free family fun day at the Mt Eden Village Centre, Mt Eden’s community centre and Methodist church in the heart of the village. 

This is a family event with a children's flea market, animal blessing, free pony rides, workshops, food stalls, a children's art competition, face painting, a puppet show and much more. 

There will be delicious food from around the world to enjoy and live music from Luke Hurley.

This event is organised by the Mt Eden Methodist Church Charitable Trust, with generous support from Ray White Real Estate, to celebrate our fourth year of operation and the great community that we live in.

This is a Zero Waste event with all stall holders using compostable and biodegradable products. 

A 2 min walk from the bus stop and with two cycle stands in front of the centre, we can be reached easily without a car.

Free parking: Ngauruhoe St, Essex St, end of Poronui St or top of Grange Rd, 2-5 min walk.

Programme On the Day

10.30-12.30am – Free pony rides
10.00 -1pm - Historic steam engine demonstration & talk
10.00 - 12am - Pavement painting competition with local artist Katharine Maude
12midday - Price giving for pavement painting competition, winner announcement by Martin Leach from Ponsonby News

10.00 – 10.30am - Yoga for kids with Caroline
10.45 – 11.30am - Puppet theatre
11.45 – 12.15pm – Music classes for pre-schoolers with Meryl from Lewis Eady Music School
12.30 – 1pm – Sewing seeds with Mandy McMullin, Heritage Landscapes architect, designer, community gardener

10-10.45 am - Animal blessing with Rev Saane Langi
10.00-1pm – Kids Market
10.00-1pm - Face painting by the amazing BodyFX team

10.00-1pm - Art competition exhibition
11.00am - Prize giving for art competition, winner announcement by Paul Johnston, local artist and chair of Eden Arts
10.00 - 1pm delicious food & ice cream

10.00-1pm - Community lunch:
Ethnic food stalls serving delicious culinary delights from Burma, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka as well as French Crepes, Japanese Sushi and delicious desserts.
