Wananga Whakatupu Matauranga - Whangarei Libraries are celebrating Te Wiki o te Reo Māori - Māori language Week, 27 July to 1 August, with the following events:

Kei Hea Nga Kupu - Māori Language Week Word Hunt
Seven Māori words or phrases (one for each Matariki star) have been placed throughout Whangarei Central Library. Find the words and complete the entry form.
All correct entries get a prize and go into the draw for a major prize drawn on 3 August 2015.
Only 1 entry per person.

Arohatia te Reo - Preschool Funtimes
Tikipunga Library - Tuesday 28 July, 10.00 to 11.00 am
Whangarei Central Library - Wednesday 29 July and Thursday 30 July, 10.00 to 11.00 am
Music, movement, storytelling and craft activities based on Māori themes.

Kōrero Paki - Maui Stories for Young Children
Saturday 1 August, 10.30 to 11.00 am
Stories for young children from New Zealand Maui legends in te reo Māori and English.
