The Marlborough Sports Awards is an opportunity to recognise excellence in our sporting community. Join us in celebrating the success of Marlborough's top athletes and to recognise one person's lifetime contribution to sport when they are awarded the Marlborough Medal.

Legendary rugby league star Steve Price will be the guest speaker of the evening. Price's vast experience in the no-holds-barred world of international rugby league allows him to provide a unique insight into a sport where controversy and big collisions go hand in hand.

Price made his name as a durable, skilful and inspiring player on both sides of the Tasman having played 222 matches for the Canterbury Bulldogs, 91 matches for the Warriors, represented Queensland 28 times for State of Origin and played 16 tests for Australia.

Te Radar will be sure to keep the night moving along nicely as MC. Radar, who is well known as a TV presenter of six top-rating TVNZ documentary series including Global Radar and Radar Across the Pacific, describes himself as “an award-winning satirist, documentary maker, writer, stage and screen director, failed gardener, and amateur historian”. His dry sense of humour and superb comedic timing is expected to add another dimension to a highly-entertaining evening.
