A new type of economy is emerging – you may have heard it called the sharing economy, the collaborative economy, the peer-to-peer economy.

Join this conversation with Michel Bauwens, Founder and Director of the P2P Foundation, an organisation dedicated to exploring the intersection between peer production, governance, and property. Michel is also the Head of Research for Commons Transition, a platform for policy development aimed toward a society of the Commons that would enable a more egalitarian, just, and environmentally stable world.

Michel will speak about:
- the Commons and the opportunities they present to move towards a post-capitalist world.
- how digital technologies are enabling people to come together, physically and virtually, to share, coordinate, collaborate, create and distribute value in a new way.
- how the new economy can strengthen the resilience of our communities and support the transition to a more sustainable way of life.

Michel Bauwens is a world-renowned peer-to-peer and collaborative economy theorist, writer, researcher and speaker, and will give insights into many initiatives he encounters in his work and travel.
