Discover the joy and health benefits of hearty laughter. You are invited to a laughter pick-me-up with the Mid-Week Laughter Club.

A laughter club is where we gather in a group to laugh for no reason - that means no jokes or comedy. Instead we engage in simple, playful exercises so that laughter becomes easy and accessible. Sessions are open to all ages and levels of fitness. No equipment or registration necessary.

Laughter is a natural antidote to stress. Hearty laughter has profound effects on our mental and physical state:

- Releases endorphins and serotonin.
- Improves cardiovascular health and reduces blood pressure.
- Reduces stress levels.
- Boosts the body’s oxygen and energy levels.
- Helps beat depression and anxiety.
- Boosts the immune system and stimulates the lymphatic system.
- Increases circulation.
- Floods the body with oxygen.
- Increases Killer T Cell production.
- Is an aerobic workout that exercises the heart, diaphragm, abdominal, intercostal, respiratory and facial muscles.
- Improves communication, creativity and self-confidence.

Research has shown that even fake laughter yields the same health benefits as real laughter, as our bodies cannot tell the difference. What is important is to laugh energetically (belly-laugh) for an extended period. This is why we have Laughter Clubs.
