David Ferrington is a blues musician from La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. A maestro of the acoustic blues, Ferrington, a Brit expat from Lancaster, is well known in Europe where he tours regularly. He came up through the 'blues boom' of Europe in the 70s, when all the great names were touring, and became interested in blues and African music, which led him to study different techniques related to these styles. He practices Slide "bottleneck" guitar, vocals and harmonica. It occurs with "National Style 0 Resonator" guitar 1937 and an acoustic guitar Gibson L 01 1938.

David – aka Dave Boy Ferry – is supported by Geoff Fitzpatrick on upright bass and Warren Houston on percussion.

Geoff Fitzpatrick is perhaps best known as the fearless double bass player with rockabilly/blues act The Recliner Rockers. Geoff has an impressive portfolio of live and studio work with an array of notable Kiwi musicians. Watch out for his legendary double bass balancing act. Warren Houston has been a jazz drummer for many years in a variety of combos he has also worked extensively with NZ bluesman Mike Garner, in electric blues bands and acoustic blues ensembles. For this tour, Warren will use a drum kit, as well as washboard and other ethnic instruments such as the cajon, the djembe and the darbuka.

This will be a stand out performance you won't want to miss!
