Music is a universal form of self-expression that touches the everyday lives of most people.
This workshop will include conducting ideas and music arranging tips for arranging for choir, orchestra, bands and more.
Those interested in film music composition will also get a chance to chat with Opeloge about writing for film.
Opeloge Ah Sam is a Samoan born composer who has worked in a range of contexts from bands, small ensembles, choirs as well as working with the Manukau Symphony, Auckland Philharmonia and the NZ Symphony Orchestra. Opeloge is passionate about how music represents who we are as people and how it can become a vehicle for positive change in our lives and communities.
Participants are encouraged to bring any music they’re currently working on as compositions and an open mind.
