Raising a family in the ever-changing modern landscape is an ongoing challenge for many parents. Life Education Trust Gisborne is bringing renowned author, television host and psychologist Nigel Latta, with his highly entertaining and common-sense parenting advice, to Gisborne on August 10 as a fundraiser for their branch of the Life Education Trust.

After more than two decades working as a psychologist with thousands of young people and their families, Nigel Latta is a well experienced voice of reason when it comes to dealing with the trials and tribulations of raising a family in these modern times.
He will touch on blended families, technologically dependent teenagers, the tidal wave of alcohol and drugs present today, and a whole pile of other issues that our parents’ generation didn't have face. Nigel will bring his wit, hilarious stories and valuable insight to this one-off session on The Modern Family Survival Guide.

Life Education Trust chairperson, Pat Seymour, and the Trust board are thrilled to be working again with Nigel Latta, after his sell-out sessions here in 2013. Having Mr Latta visit us again is a real coup, for both Gisborne and Life Education.
“It’s satisfying for us to see that the values of Life Education and the parenting advice that Mr Latta encourages are very similar. We see the benefits of this through our work in the Gisborne community,” said Pat Seymour.

Proceeds will go to support the Gisborne Life Education Trust, whose mobile classroom, with Harold the giraffe, visits every school in the East Coast / Wairoa region, teaching children about positive life choices, demonstrating the wonder of life, and how every child can to reach their full potential.

The event will be held on Monday August 10, 7.00pm, at the War Memorial Theatre.
Tickets are $35 each, or $60 for two, and are available from ExpressPR 130 Ormond road.
