Nish Kumar can’t wait to fly to New Zealand.
Such a long journey will give him a great chance to meet more of his favourite type of people, who always take an active interest in his adventures - Border Control.

Following huge success at the 2014 Edinburgh Fringe Festival; sell out runs at noted London comedy haunt - The Soho Theatre and a stand-up tour of India with the Melbourne International Comedy Roadshow India, Nish Kumar brings an hour of stellar stand-up to the New Zealand Comedy Festival for the first time.

A well-known face, you may have seen Nish on Comedy Central’s The Alternative Comedy Experience, Live at the Comedy Store (Paramount), Sweat The Small Stuff (BBC Three), and Alan Davies As Yet Untitled (Channel Dave). As well as having heard him on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 4 and XFM.

The critics have been unanimous in their praise:
5 Stars - Time Out. 4 Stars - The Guardian. 4 Stars - The Telegraph. 4 Stars - The Sunday Times.

“With his combination of book smarts, righteous passion and sardonic wit, Nish Kumar is the Asian answer to John Oliver” - Chortle

“A highly polished, subtly innovative stand-up…a talent worth catching up with” - The Guardian

Part of the 2015 NZ International Comedy Festival in cahoots with Old Mout Cider, running from 24 April – 17 May. To get The Latest on all the comedy shows on offer, practical information about the Festival, access to competitions and special deals, head to comedyfestival.co.nz.
