Nostalgia is a daylong independent music and food festival situated inside the 1900's replica township of Ferrymead Heritage Park. Explore the vintage festival environment celebrating a culture full of pop up cuisine, craft beer, wine, market stalls and art, all while some of New Zealand's finest indie musicians provide entertainment form centre stage

‘Nostalgia Festival’ will house a selection of culinary creations from Christchurch chefs, producers and food enthusiasts with an emphasis on local products, flavours and quality. Shop Eight Chef Alex Davies will be cooking whole sustainability caught fish and shellfish over burning ember, together with chargrilled freedom Pork Loin from BlueSmoke, Woolston Market Wine Makers Platters, Mexican from Mamacita’s, Cakes By Anna and much, much more. To wash it all down there will be an outdoor bar from Cassel’s & Son’s with a selection of their craft beers including the specifically festival made ‘Golden Age’, and wine by ‘The 3rd Man’. 2015 sees the addition of 'The Punch Club', a pop up cocktail bar and acoustic stage nestled alongside the waters edge on a jetty. There will also be a selection of sodas and juices and an outdoor coffee shop from the guys at ‘The Caffeine Laboratory’.

The Heritage Park will provide a perfect distraction for the kids (free for kids under 12) with the steam train running throughout the day and all the park’s usual features to entertain. While exploring the park you will also uncover a boutique market featuring a range of stalls from art and crafts to clothing and jewelers. All of this while a selection of New Zealand’s finest indie musicians provide entertainment from center stage, including Christchurch flying nun favourite The Bats.
