Following their successful Encompass Regional Series tour in 2013, the New Zealand Guitar Quartet are welcomed back for the 2015 season. Formed in Wellington in 2010, the New Zealand Guitar Quartet has quickly developed a following with invitations to perform both locally and overseas. NZGQ members Owen Moriarty, John Couch, Christopher Hill and Jane Curry have garnered acclaim as soloists on concert stages around the world and in a multitude of international guitar competitions, with each member contributing their individual strengths toward creating an exciting, dynamic and engaging ensemble.

Career highlights include the New Zealand premiere of the Concerto Andaluz by Joaquin Rodrigo with the Nelson Symphony, busy tour schedules with Chamber Music NZ and Arts on Tour and concerts in the Adam International Chamber Music Festival, the Southern Lakes Festival of Colour and Christchurch Arts Festival. This coming season the NZGQ will be playing two tours in both Australia and New Zealand, including the performance of Rodgrigo's Concerto Andaluz in Canberra. Covering a wide range of repertoire from the renaissance to the 21st century, the NZGQ has been praised for its

diverse programming, technical brilliance and polished ensemble skills.
