Meet some of New Zealand's best authors promoting, selling and signing their own independently and self-published books. Meet the people behind the names on their books covers. You'll find brand new books covering the full spectrum of genre and age range. The festival offers enthusiastic readers an opportunity to meet passionate writers. Exhibiting authors coming to the festival vary in ethnicity and backgrounds which in turn offers readers stories and ideas based on different perspectives. A large number of these beautifully presented books are not available in standard retail stores due to a hesitancy of some book store owners to stock non-traditionally published books. But who better to promote and sell their books directly to the public than the authors themselves?

Ever wanted to have your manuscript considered for publishing? Don't leave your writing dreams sitting in your desk drawer. It's time to get your fiction or non-fiction book independently published. Many of the business exhibitors at the festival will be promoting their services to get your book into print or published digitally. Their services range from proof reading, copy editing, book design, graphics, eBook uploading and hard printing. Or if you prefer they can work with you through the whole process from A - Z.

Also on offer will be free seminars from businesses talking about the business of publishing. Many well known New Zealand authors will be discussing their own books and their writing journeys. There will be workshops showing traditional book-bindng and how to make marketing material for your own book. And it wouldn't be a festival with out outdoor entertainment for the whole family, face painting, pre-school fun and dress-ups. Make it a date in your calendar for a fun family day out. Come and buy books the whole family can enjoy. See you there.
