The New Zealand Association for Gifted Children is celebrating 40 years of serving our community of Gifted and Talented youth. On 3-5 July 2015 we are hosting a magnificent 3-day event at Waikato University. Don’t miss this fantastic event! Open to all those with an interest in Gifted Education. Speakers, workshops and discussion groups for Parents and Teachers. Speakers, workshops and discussion groups for Students – Secondary, Intermediate, Primary and Preschool.

40th Anniversary conference - “the many faces of giftedness”

We have 50+ sessions for adult ( http://nzagc-40th-anniversary.org.nz/?page_id=164 ) and 30+ sessions for students (http://nzagc-40th-anniversary.org.nz/?page_id=434). We also have some special programmes such as NZ MindGames Championship, Celebrating Talented Youth Concert, Student Speakers Forum (Tedx style)...etc. Everyone is welcome.

The line-up for the kids will appeal to both intuitive and rational minds. Including Nano Girl's Superhero in Action science workshop, Adrian Mann, the inventor of the World’s longest piano's workshop, youngest uni student Tristan Pang’s Beyond the Numbers’ workshop, the robotic boot camp...etc.

The adult program is equally stimulating. Dr Michelle Dickinson (aka Nanogirl) shares her experience growing up, feeling isolated within the traditional education system and she talks to parents and educators about confidence building and coping techniques.

International speakers on ‘Powerful strategies to enhance the learning of gifted and highly capable students’ and ‘Peak Performance for smart kids’ are not to be missed. The New Zealand Association of Gifted Children Conference is the number #1 must attend – event of the year, for anyone and everyone in the gifted community.
