“Obstacle course racing” or “mud running” is described as one of the fastest growing sports of all time. Participants overcome various physical challenges designed to result in mental and physical collapse! And improve their resilience and self-confidence in the process. But best of all, it's just plain fun to run through mud, climb walls, and crawl under wire as if you were a kid again! Participation in these challenges has now matched, or by some reports surpassed, that of half-marathons and marathons combined.

Learn how to overcome the obstacles without fear with some of the secrets shared in this workshop.

The workshop will cover:
-Skills to help you get through your next race: how to scale a wall, and how to crawl under barbed wire
-A workout using the surrounding environment as obstacles, and how you can structure similar workouts on your own

Max has recently transitioned to obstacle course racing, after practicing parkour for years. He’s a MovNat Level 2 Certified Trainer and owner of Movement Unleashed which teaches parkour and ancestral fitness in Wellington. Where do we meet?
Please meet at the entrance to Mount Victoria which is at the top of Majoribanks Street.

What level of fitness is required?
The exercises will be scaled to match your level of fitness or age.

Will my condition/injury be ok to participate with?
Please contact us, see FAQ below for contact details, if you have any injuries or conditions which may be of concern.

What should I bring?
Please bring:
-Appropriate clothes you don't mind getting dirty and sweating in
-Water
-If you're bringing anything else, please bring a backpack you can hold these in and run with - as we will be moving around

What happens in the case of bad weather?
The workshop will still be on if it's mildly raining or cold - this is an obstacle workshop and the natural conditions are just another obstacle to overcome. But in the case of severe bad weather, the workshop may be rescheduled or cancelled. We will contact you if this is the case.
