Operation Harbourview Beach Spring Clean with Forest & Bird Motu Manawa Restoration Group

We have 200 rubbish bags to fill so come along and help spring clean Harbourview’s beautiful beachfront, Te Atatu Peninsula.

This is the unofficial western shoreline of the Forest & Bird Motu Manawa - Pollen Island Marine Reserve. Bring along friends and family members for a fun morning outdoors tidying up the beach – plus a free BBQ afterwards.

The event will take about an hour and a half to complete.

Where: Gloria Avenue carpark in Harbourview (Assemble by the marine reserve lookout sign)
When: Saturday, 10th October 2015 - 10am – 12pm
Bring: Gloves, sunhats, gumboots or sturdy footwear
Provided: Rubbish bags plus BBQ and refreshments at end
- Event to end at noon but even an hour or so of your help would be much appreciated.
- Direct supervision of any child volunteers is required from their parents or guardians.

To register your interest contact, call Raewyn on 021-277-8577, or just turn up at 10 am sharp on the day.

This is a community volunteer event initialised, planned and organised by Forest & Bird Motu Manawa Restoration Group and Te Atatu local community group Friends of Harbourview, supported by Auckland Council Park West & EcoMatters.
