Just 20 minutes from Dunedin by car is the magical Orokonui Ecosanctuary, home to some of the world's most fascinating and rare wildlife including the takahe. Thought to be extinct before being rediscovered in 1948 the takahe remains critically endangered despite ongoing conservation efforts. Help us save this remarkable bird by visiting and contributing to the conservation work undertaken at Orokonui.
