This October we're celebrating 'Nocturnal Natives' at Zealandia!

For our Monthly Seminar we'll be joined by PhD researcher Katie Sheridan, who will be discussing her research on the forest-dwelling brown teal (pāteke).

Pāteke were first released at Zealandia in 2000. Breeding was first confirmed in 2002 and ducklings are often seen in the Sanctuary. While the exact number of pāteke present in the sanctuary is unknown, PhD researcher Katie Sheridan has been mapping their distribution throughout the Sanctuary.
