On November 29, countries from all over the world are holding events for Global Action On Climate Change.

Join The Palmerston North City Environmental Trust (PNCET), Environment Network Manawatu (ENM) and Te Manawa to celebrate, explore and inspire a 'Palmy Beyond Petrol.' We can all contribute to reducing carbon emissions by getting onto our bikes and using 'green' technologies.

Bring your bikes, skates, scooters, horses, unicycles, electric bikes, prams to Te Manawa...and gather for two-hours of active fun. Together lets create a strong visual statement of how our city could look if more of us got on our bikes and our roads were more cycle-friendly. Lets fill the grounds of Te Manawa with people-powered transport!

There will be activites for children, information about improving active transport in the city, and opportunities to try out electric bikes and check out electric cars, among other fun things!

Why this date? This Global Day of Action for Climate Change co-incides with the UN-hosted international Climate Change Conference in Paris, France. This conference sees the twenty-first session of the Conference of the Parties (COP), and the eleventh session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP) will take place from 30 November to 11 December 2015.
