When Poetry Comes to Town continues the Wairarapa tradition of National Poetry Day activities across the region, this time starting at 12:01am on the morning of Friday August 28th and finishing up around midnight of the day itself, with 9 events in all. Readings by published poets, a session of rhymes for children, poetry and birdsong for nature lovers, open mics and open dance, poetry at favorite cafes and bookstores and an art museum -- they'll be something for everyone almost everywhere across the Wairarapa.
