Pattern making according to the Lavigne method, taught in Europe and Paris.

These two-hour workshops will cover the basics of pattern making.

The class is followed by an advanced pattern making class.

For the beginners we will approach the basic styling of the bodice.
For the advanced group we will learn more complicated constructions including the princess line, yoke, sleeves...

The advance group will be covering skirt, trousers, collar construction.

I will supply you with a block on your measurements so the pattern you make will fit you.

The classes are sequential but I will work with you individually at each session. For quick progress regular attendance is always best.

When your pattern is finished we will make a toile (a calico sample of your pattern). You can make it at home or use the sewing machines and overlockers available during the class.

Sewing knowledge is not a prerequisite but would help you in drafting the pattern.
I can give guidance for the sewing to those who struggle making their garments at home.

This class is ideal to introduce fashion students to the pattern making/sewing world or to anyone who wants to learn how to make clothes that fit.

Pattern Making is a rare skill. Get in touch with me if you are interested.
