We now have a day class for pattern making.

Beginners level.
Pattern making according to the Lavigne method, taught in Europe and Paris.

In that class, we will approach the basic styling of the bodice : enlargements on a block, dart manipulation...
We will then make 2 kinds of sleeves. The second pattern will be a two piece pattern : either princess line, empire line or shoulder yoke. After those exercise, you will be able to draft your dream garment.

I will supply you with a block on your measurements so the pattern you make will fit you.

The classes are sequential but I will work with you individually at each session. For quick progress regular attendance is always best.

When your pattern is finished we will make a toile (a calico sample of your pattern). You can make it at home or use the sewing machines and overlockers available during the class.

Sewing knowledge is not a prerequisite but would help you in drafting the pattern.
I can give guidance for the sewing to those who struggle making their garments at home.

This class is ideal to introduce fashion students to the pattern making/sewing world or to anyone who wants to learn how to make clothes that fit.

Pattern Making is a rare skill. Get in touch with me if you are interested.
