As part of the Auckland Heritage Festival, the Maritime Museum are hosting 'Pecha Kucha Night Auckland vol. 48 - ‘The Maritime Edition’

Pecha Kucha is a presentation format for creative work originally devised in Tokyo, Japan in 2003. During the night, each presenter hosts a slideshow of 20 images, each of which is shown for 20 seconds, giving a total presentation time of 6 minutes 40 seconds.

The event is free admission and will have 12 presenters, with all topics having an overarching 'maritime' theme, hosted in The Maritime Room (with a cash bar available).

The Maritime Museum will also be staying open late on the evening, meaning visitors can explore the Museum right up until the PechaKucha event begins.

The speakers and topics confirmed for the evening so far include:
