A world renowned photography event returns to Silo Park on Saturday 31 January 2015.

The Photo Laundry (or Sooshka) project began in 2010 by Andrei Kezzin in St Petersberg, Russia. More than 90,000 people from 40 cities across 7 countries have participated in the project in the last five years. The event was first held in Auckland in May 2014.

The concept of the event is simple; photographers of all skill levels are welcomed and encouraged to showcase their work in an improvised gallery on the gantry in Silo Park, made of washing lines. In return for sharing a piece, participants can take away with them an image that takes their fancy.

“Over 100 photographers will showcase their work, we also encourage members of the public to come on down and be part of this world renowned event" says event producer, Mariya Sadykova.

Auckland Photo Laundry is an event not to be missed.

Silo Park at Wynyard Quarter is the perfect space for events over the summer season. Silo Park hosts more than 50 events, exhibitions and activations and festivals.

The event is supported by the Creative Communities Scheme.
