Wairarapa Word presents a balance of live poems and live music to end National Poetry Day 2015 in the Wairarapa.

Songs from the 19th Century to yesterday.
Folk-blues-swing-country-finger-pickin-musician Bob Cooper-Grundy and the multi-instrumentalist Kate Marshall join Wairarapa Word and co. at the West Taratahi Hall, a memorable venue to close the day of 24-hour poetry in the Wairarapa.

When Poetry Comes to Town continues the Wairarapa tradition of National Poetry Day activities across the region, this time starting at 12:01am on the morning of the day and finishing up around midnight of the Friday itself, with 8 events in all. Readings by published poets, a session of rhymes for children, poetry and birdsong for nature lovers, open mics, poetry at favorite cafes and bookstores -- they'll be something for everyone almost everywhere across the Wairarapa.
