Enjoy a Qigong / Tai Chi "Fusion" class with Gabrielle. After this workshop you will understand, what is Qigong and what is Tai Chi. Gabrielle is a Senior Instructor and Teacher and her goal is to give you a taste of it.

Theme of this workshop: Qigong for Spring: Detoxify the Liver and Gallbladder and kick start the metabolism.
Qigong, with its roots in traditional Chinese medicine, is a close cousin to the better-known Tai Chi. Unlike that practice, Qigong hasn't its roots in martial arts. Instead, it uses a variety of gentle movements. Because its motions are simple and repetitive, Qigong is more accessible to many people than Tai Chi, which has long sequences that need to be memorized.
Qigong combines the energy work of Chinese Medicine with physical movements and meditative relaxation. You can start learning these enjoyable, gentle exercises from young age to 90+ :
- to prevent and heal illnesses and injuries
- boost athletic and intellectual performance
- slow or reverse the degeneration of aging
- deeply relax the body and mind
- reduce stress

Postures are moving or stationary, both standing and sitting for physical health, balanced emotions and mental clarity.
These exercises have been used for over 2,000 years. Anyone seeking stamina, strong vitality and a sense of well being will benefit from these enormously practical teachings.

Learning Qigong can help you feel, move and work with energy in your body. It is a powerful way to become more fully alive and conscious.
Due to the School Holiday this event replaces the normal Ongoing classes (Saturdays: Tai Chi class at 9am and Qigong class at 10.15am)
