For 21 years the Classic has been a run, bike, kayak event that has attracted over 10,000 competitors and raised thousands of dollars for various charities. We are now on a journey to re-invent the Classic. Give it renewed energy, adventure and excitement!

2015 is a bridging year and will feature a half marathon.

2016 will see the Grape Ride gurus Peter Halligan and Duncan Mckenzie adding some amazing innovations to the Queen Charlotte Classic and the run, road/mountain bike and kayak event will be back in full swing.

Enter the 2015 Classic and you will be running a half marathon. Starting at Tiro Moana,(on a portion of the new Link Pathway, 1 kilometre south of Anakiwa) your run will create a little bit of history as it will be first Event to run on a portion of the Link Pathway Project.

How do you get to the start line?

Just park your car in Picton and we do the rest for you! Race sponsors Beachcomber Cruises will give you a chance to meet all your running mates on board the Beachcomber. You will be about to run through scenery you only see in high end travel magazines. The trail takes you on a journey, an adventure, that will not only exercise the body but also your every sense. Bellbirds and Tuis singing, the aroma of honeydew everywhere and a long orange juice or cool beer on the balconies of Lochmara Lodge on finishing! And all that is included in your entry fee!
