Roll up Roll up! It’s The Jelly Rolls!

Come hang with The Jelly Rolls, who will be playing tunes from the recently released album ‘Sneaky Weasel’ as well as raucous renditions of tunes by greats such as Fats Waller, Erroll Garner and Cole Porter.

Rolling around the hoods and hangouts of the capital metropolis since 2011, The Jelly Rolls have stewed up a flavoursome brew. Concocted with the meaty beats of Scottish import, drummer John Rae, and the tangy upright playing of bassist Daniel Yeabsley, the resplendent Ben Wilcock takes centre stage on piano, suffusing Harlem Stride, Boogie Woogie as well as the influences of jazz piano greats, such as Fats Waller, Erroll Garner and Ahmad Jamal. As heard on National Radio’s ‘A Short History of Jazz'.
