Take part in a fabulous creative experience at Tairāwhiti Museum this school holidays. Tour the galleries, fuel your imagination and let your ideas run wild in our fun, creative holiday programmes.

The Eye
After viewing Ephraim Russell’s exhibition Sacred Bloodlines create your own circular art, investigating colour and form using paint, marbles and scissors.

A Whale’s Journey
Inspired by the exhibition, Kermadec: Lines in the Ocean, create a three- dimensional whale and paint its journey along the Kermadec Line, a rich ocean trench full of sea life that stretches from Tonga to New Zealand.

3-D in action
Construct a three dimensional face or skull to explore how Richard Rodgers has made the sculptures in his exhibition, This Is Who We Are.

$5 per child/per session, accompanying adult free of charge, ages 4 – 7 and 7 – 12
Tutor: Teressa Matthews, Hullabaloo Art Exploration
Book at the museum (payment on booking), spaces are limited.
Children must be accompanied by a whanau member for the duration of the programme.
