Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day

iBike4Kids and the Manawatu Mountain Bike Club are taking part in the "Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day". This is an international event created by the International Mountain Biking Association (IBMA). This event is being held in over 22 countries around the world on Oct 3rd.

We are holding an open day at Arapuke Forest Park to introduce people to the Arapuke Mountain Bike Trails and we invite you to bring kids along to find out about the great sport of mountain biking. There are over 12km of mountain bike trails that have been created by MMBC since 2012 with trails to suit all skill levels.

Where:- Arapuke Forest Park at the very end of Scott's Rd, Linton. Turn into Scott's Rd off SH57, 6km past Linton. Follow Scott's Rd until the gravel starts and then continue for 10km until you reach the car park at the very end of Scott's Rd - do not turn off the road. The route will be sign posted.

How Much:- Free, Zip, Zilch.

What to bring:- Kids. A fat tyre bike. A mountain bike with front suspension is best, but a BMX bike will do. Warm clothing and a rain jacket if the weather looks cold. Drinks and a picnic lunch.
